Ring Sets, Summer, & Self Awareness

Okay, can we talk about ring sets? I love the boho feel of wearing a ton of rings. It makes me feel dressed up even if it’s the only jewelry I have on. I love the ring sets that I sell because they are so versatile. I like to wear maybe one from a specific set on one day, and then maybe all of them from a set on another day. There are a ton of combo’s and choices. Andddd, you can literally wear ring sets with aNyThinG! Amiright? Those jeans? Those leggings? That summer dress? Ring sets go with it all!

Rings are the perfect accessory for the summer months. Not only do they look super cute with your tan and painted nails, but they are also simple to wear when your frolicking about in the warm weather. (You frolick, right? :P)

Summer brings about a feeling of happiness; the sun’s shining and we can go outside and breath fresh air, connect with nature and become grounded. This is also a great time to allow yourself to grow as a human being. I have been focusing lately on this concept of self-growth. It doesn’t mean we are changing, it means we are improving. There is always room for improvement, because no one is perfect. Life is more about the journey, not the destination.

I have also learned that self-growth can only stem from self-awareness. Self-awareness means being truly open and honest with yourself, even though it can be hard. It means realizing what it is about yourself that is holding you back; what’s causing you pain; what’s ruining your relationship with yourself. These things can be hard to realize. But once you are aware, you can improve. You can create the full and happy life that you want.

Personally, I have become aware that I struggle with emotional reactions. We can either react to any given situation logically or emotionally. Too much of either = not good! Too logical, with no feeling, is cold and robotic. Too emotional, with no logic, creates chaos! It can cause fights with loved ones. Our feelings are strong and sometimes irrational and if we give them freedom, they will take over. It will only cause pain to ourselves and to others. But because I have finally been honest and harsh with myself, I am now aware of my own emotional responses and how they can negatively impact my life. I can work to process the emotions and think logically. The logic will help stop a fight, or help to come up with a solution to a problem. This is part of my self-growth.

Be honest with yourself today. Realize who you are and what it is that’s holding you back. Then put in the work to improve it. It will be worth. And while you’re at it, go outside, breathe in the fresh air, and wear some cute jewelry too. 😉
