Sometimes all of your leaves have to fall. Like the trees, you have to be left bare before you can regrow your leaves. The trees come back in full bloom, and so will you.
We’ve all been in low places, had our hearts broken, had things not work out the way we had planned or hoped or dreamed. I know I have. I reached a place where I felt lost. I had lost myself. It seems like you’ll never reach a happy point again. You get stuck in the negativity.
But, if we look at our brokenness as room for growth, as opportunity, we will automatically be in a more positive state. As the old saying goes, once you’ve hit rock bottom, there’s nowhere to go but up.
When all your leaves have fallen, it gives you the opportunity to grow them back – better than before. It gives you the chance to really find yourself.
Sometimes, the only way to find yourself, is to lose yourself.
